Formula used
In-situ volume = length × width × depth. Bulked volume = in-situ volume × (1 + bulking %). Tonnes = volume × density.
Example
20m × 4m × 1.2m gives 96m³ in-situ. With 25% bulking, loose volume is 120m³. At 1.8t/m³, that is about 173t.
